Syringe Filter Selection Guide
NYLON
This type of filter has high protein retention. It is hydrophilic and resistant to most solvents. It can be used for filtration and clarification of aqueous or organic solutions.
PTFE
This type of filter is hydrophobic and highly solvent resistant. It can be used for filtration of gas, air and non aqueous solutions. If used for filtering aqueous solutions, pre-treat with Methanol.
PVDF
This type of filter has low protein retention. It can be used for general biological sample filtration. |
